    What is better than a website that leads a visitor exactly to the destination? Exactly, nothing! There is an appropriate term for this, which is called “internal links”. The internal links are signposts on websites that show the customer where to go to reach the destination. Such structured structures are also perceived as optimal by search engines and are also rewarded for this.

    The way to the goal

    You know exactly how to navigate your website, but your visitors don’t yet. For example, you can start guiding your visitors on the homepage by describing the company and the products. You link the products to the respective landing page by means of a hyperlink so that the visitor can click on it immediately if something interests him. On the landing page, you lead your customer to the order process, from there to the payment process and thus to the conclusion.

    If you have already studied search engine optimisation in depth, you certainly know that a backlink is a link from another website to the desired one, e.g. your website. A backlink serves the purpose of guiding the customer and getting him to his destination quickly. For example, you can write a technical article and link each technical term to Wikipedia so that readers can quickly see what the individual technical terms mean. The keyword to link to will also contribute to the ranking. For example, if you have several backlinks for a specific keyword, you may be found better on Google.

    It goes without saying that the aim of backlinks is to lead visitors to a high-quality website where they can access information that is not available on their own website. Google also interprets a backlink as a digital recommendation and also upgrades websites with high-quality backlinks.

    As already mentioned, Google upgrades websites with a high number of high-quality backlinks in the ranking. Such backlinks can be found on professional articles, blogs or other links. However, not every backlink is an upgrade of one’s own website. I always remember a saying of my mother. As a child, she told me in connection with the selection of my friends: “Whoever you hang out with, that’s who you become”. This is exactly the principle that Google works with. If your website is linked to by high quality websites, Google rates you as high quality. If you are linked mainly from spam sites, you are also considered a spammer.

    You can proactively tackle and increase your backlinks yourself. You have many different ways to do this:

    • Contributions & Articles
      Write professional articles and posts on different blogs and link your articles to your own website. For example, you can link your main keyword to your website.
    • Post comments
      The most common way to generate backlinks is to use the comment field on blogs and articles. In most cases, the website URL can also be deposited. I recommend that you comment on articles with similar topics, as this is more highly rated.
    • Social Media Profile:
      In most social network profiles, you can enter website URLs that serve as backlinks. For example, you can create a company page on Facebook and link to your website, or you can add your own website on Xing.
    • Social Media Post:
      Another easy way to generate a backlink is to make a post on a social media platform. This way you can post, like, share and comment on your website. The more interactions that take place on this post, the higher it will be rated by search engines.
    • Price search engines:
      Price search engines are very popular with users and also with search engines. That’s why I recommend submitting your products to price search engines right from the start. The price search engine websites link directly to the websites. This guarantees backlinks, visitors and, in the best case, sales.
    • Amazon Trick:
      Amazon is rated highly by search engines and is also considered reputable and professional. Securing a backlink here means a massive increase in value for your own website. But how do you do that without knowing anyone in management? It’s simple! Write a professional article (6-8 pages) and offer this article for sale on Amazon. The good thing about this is that every “book” has a reading sample and it is precisely in this reading sample that you have to ensure that a link points to your page. And you already have a backlink from Amazon.
    • Telephone entries:
      There are different search engines for telephone numbers and entries, which can be used for generating backlinks. You can enter your company and thus refer to the website. However, you have to be careful that you don’t pay anything or much and don’t fall into a subscription trap.
    • Link exchange:
      Backlinks can also be exchanged. You can write to websites and offer a link exchange. As a rule, most of them accept and create a backlink. In return, you also have to create a link to the partner’s website. Friends and acquaintances also have websites, so ask them.
    • YouTube:
      YouTube is also a good source of backlinks. To do this, you should create an account and upload a few videos on your topic. You can simply add your web address in the description text. Since YouTube converts what is spoken into text and also understands it, I recommend that you often speak your main keywords in your video.
    • Affiliate Partner:
      Probably the fastest way to choose from many backlinks is to create an affiliate programme. After the programme start, affiliate partners apply for your programme and want to sell for you. Now you can easily and conveniently pick out and accept the best ones.
    • Wikipedia:
      You reach the backlink peak when you manage to get a link from Wikipedia. To do this, you need a non-promotional article on your website that Wikipedia can use as a reference. Contributions to Wikipedia can be written by anyone, they must not appear to be promotional. The contributions written are checked and approved by members.
